Complete Bespoke conveyor Sorting and Grading Line for Citrus Fruits -

This line was built to order in 2001

Comprises:

1 x Belt Conveyor 600mm wide x 3 Metres Long. The device is mounted on wheels for easy placement for working in conjunction with the bin tipping system

1 x Roller Conveyor - 1300mm wide x 1.0 + 2.5 Metres Long. The conveyor has an inclined section 1 Metre in length designed to accomodate product from either bins or cartons.

2 x Belt Conveyors - 400mm wide x 4.4Metres Long to feed empty boxes to roller conveyors (Position 8)

1 x Belt conveyor 300mm wide x 2Metres Long, to infeed the conveyor (position 5) under the roller inspection (position 2)

2 x Belt conveyors 300mm wide x 2Metres Long, to feed class 2 bin filling and reject bin.

2 x Operator Platforms with steps, fitted with guard rails and kick plates. Treads and platform manufactured from Durbar plating and chutes.

1 x Automatic double bin filler to receive class 1 fruit for storage prior to using as pre-graded fruit on packaging lines.The machine will accept two bins filling one at a time. All citrus can be used as the device has a soft fill system.

2 x Gravity roller infeed system to supply empty cartons to the packing stations. The system can receive cartons from the front or the rear of the line.

2 x Belt conveyors, 250mm wide x 6.0Metres Long, to infeed class 2 fruit to the packing stations.

2 x Belt conveyors, 300mm wide x 6.0Metres Long, to infeed class 1 fruit to the packling stations.

10 x Packing Stations, for place packing citrus fruits into cartons and trays. Each station is pneumatically operated to assist in the transfer of full cartons to the outfeed conveyors.

2 x Belt conveyors, 600mm wide x 5.2Metres Long, to take away full cartons or trays to the Rollers (Position 13)

2 x Free Rollers, 600mm wide x 1.0Metre Long to receive full cartons or boxes

1 x Electrical Control Cabinet, designed to control all electrical and sequential requirements of the line. All pneumatic position flaps to select Class 1 & Class 2 packing positions as well as fruit reservoirs.

The grader utilizes laser vision to measure product features automatically. It can grade products based on length, width, average height and form features. By using the Vision Grader, processors gain increased throughput and reliability while saving on labour and equipment since the grader can replace systems that are more complex.

The Vision Grader accurately grades front, centre, and tailpieces at the rate of up to 140 pieces a minute. Grading by piece length and width, as well as form are easily adjustable on the unit's M3000 controller, making the Vision Grader one of the most user-friendly applications on the market. Far more accurate than manual grading, the Shape Grader increases raw material quality by minimising product handling and treating the material gently.
